Day 6 Unravelling Chaos
Daily Miracle Message
The natural order of life is to let life (or nature) take over. Like the front garden of our house, if left to its own devices, will become a weed wonderland, and Alice will get very, very lost. If we don’t get hold of it, it the weeds will take hold, and we will be struggling with the chaos instead of smelling the roses.
My goal, my hope, my commitment, is to unravel chaos, one day at a time. By structuring time, by seeing it as tiny moments to be used and treasured, with clarity and conscious effort, instead of idly drifting by…
There is a time for rest and acceptance, allowing even; and there is a time for action, pruning, purpose. Conviction!
The more consciously aware we become, the greater the reward to our peace of mind. We can create our days from a place of intention, force back the “normalcy” of distraction and addiction, and take back our lives.
What would it be like to arise each day filled with a singleness of purpose, with passion, with dedication, with devotion?
Let’s try it!
Clarity brings action, and action removes distraction; the less time we waste, the more time we have; the more time we use well, the greater our lives become, like a giant rose garden filled with luscious spell-binding roses, that have been lovingly cared for, and that bloom again and again over time.
From sorting socks, to sorting clocks, we need to empty our minds of distractions and temptations, and find time for our true cause.
What makes you awake and jump to create? What do you live for that won’t go away? What is more important than your next snack, text message or social media “like”?
For me, I would build that beautiful rose garden, whatever it takes: one day, one project, one moment at a time!
Daily Miracle Practice
- Take a break. From distraction.
- Sort the chaos. Build from action.
- Give yourself time to be the person you were born to be.
- Start today!
Daily Miracle Prayer
Dear God, help me to create order in my life, and remove distraction and temptation from my midst. Help me to see my purpose with clarity and devotion; and to practice what I need to do, and what not to do, one day at a time. Thank you, Amen.
Daily Miracle Blessing
God’s Light fills your days, leading you from the starting gate. Arise and feel the sunlight on your face. See the beauty in each moment. Count each one precious, and each hour an opportunity to do something amazing. Create miracles. Do what you came to do, one day at a time.
How to Be More Present
“The Sound of the Night Bugs”, mystical poetry and psalms, by Krista Marie Moore.
Daily Miracle Message
Do you ever marvel at the sound of the sky? At the smell of the fog that lays over the air at night? The crickets singing their night song, the whir of the fan, the whistle of friends walking by? All whirs beside us and around us and beneath us, our minds catching little fragments of thought, precious moments of time…
The sound of the night bugs as I lay in bed, fills my heart with calm. What can go wrong in a world where little creatures smaller than my hand tuck me in at night with their song? The hum of my computer, the dim of the light, the reflection in the mirror, the dog breathing a sigh. All lay quiet in the midst of great activity. “Stillness is anything but still”, I recall a friend saying.
In the calm, and in the sounds, I find my gentle mind praying. My fingers move the keyboard, and my mouth mouths the words. My heart speaks but nobody hears. I am lit up though it is dark outside.
A time of rest is a time of healing. To understand the depths, one must listen and be quiet. Do not even think you know how to say it. It is a wordless song that plays once, and only you can hear it.
There is nothing more beautiful than God’s tiniest creatures as my friends. My mother thinks I’m crazy for not killing spiders. They spin their webs, shining in the sun, or hidden in corners. The symmetry and artwork are astonishing. Not a peep is ever heard.
The cat sleeps. The birds whistle. And the deer nestles in a bur-rough in the thick of the wood. The fish swims upside down. The flick of the tail, like water, rushes in the twinkling night as I breathe.
Nothing can keep me from saying my love of this sweet song playing, always underground. It takes an artist, a spiritual realist, a hypnotist, a musician, a player, to really feel what I am saying.
Nothing, nothing can stop this beautiful sound.
Daily Miracle Prayer
Dear God, let me notice the beauty in everything, from the biggest cloud going by to the tiniest flee. Let me see me, as I do your majesty. In all things, let me hear your song, giving me Light, peace and calm. Amen.
Daily Miracle Blessing
Sweet, sweet child, I hear your song. I hear your soul calling to me. And I am in love with you, your beauty and your Light, your wisdom and your majesty too, as a reflection of Me and all that I create.
Day 4 When Your Heart Breaks
Daily Miracle Message
Sometimes it is difficult to move forward when you’re heart is broken beyond repair. We’ve all been through those heartbreaks, sudden changes, calamities, crises. They come, and we are disillusioned, confused, shattered. It doesn’t seem that anything will ever be the same.
It won’t!
There is a reason why our heart breaks when we say good-bye to something or someone we once knew. Sometimes we have to let go to make way for the new. And sometimes something has to let go of us in order for us to do what we came to do. No matter what the reason, our heart still quakes or breaks, whether it was the right thing at the time or not. We still need to heal.
No one wants to hear that it will get better. But it will. My life has taken a 180 so many times, I could never believe that it would be as good as it is today, when I was going through those things at the time. If someone told me 20 years ago that I would raise a family while also leaving my corporate job behind, becoming a writer and an actress, and now a channel, healer and teacher who travels around the world – I would have thought they were off their rocker!
Instead, my life feels more rock solid, and I sometimes get to feel like a rockstar!
No matter how good it can be, though, no one, not me or anyone, gets through this life without suffering, without pain. Whether it is an injury, death of a loved one, breakup or divorce, big move, career change or sudden loss, life is designed to change us, to stretch us, to take us by surprise.
But God will never abandon us. We always have a choice. A new dawn. Keep looking. Keep searching. Keep loving. Keep moving on!
I realize now, human love comes and it goes. But real Love is a commitment to yourself, to God and your chosen path. No matter what happens, Love is always there to find me, even when I am alone. That kind of Love stays with you, and travels wherever you go.
New life, new love and opportunities will come again – bigger and better than before. Your heart will continue to heal and grow. Until one day you will look back and realize how much you have learned, and how much Love you have come to know.
Daily Miracle Prayer
Dear God, let me get over this heartache, this loss, this devastation. My heart is broken. I don’t know how to go on. Please heal my heart and show me your Love is true. That there is still hope for me to feel love again. Please help me to let go of this pain, and live again. Thank you, God. Amen.
Daily Miracle Blessing
Let life break you open, and you will see the Light! We are always here to make things right. Take the burden off your shoulders. Give us your tears. Love is always there to find you, and Our Love is here to stay!
How to Hear God: What the Sun Said to the Moon
Mystical poetry and modern-day psalms by Krista M. Moore, Sunburst painting by Mary S. Moore
Daily Miracle Message
Sometimes it is difficult to hear what Spirit says. Listening for something can cause nothing to become much louder! It can feel almost impossible to connect to that ineffable Presence. Travelling in many circles of play and work, we dream, we write, we become still at night. And we wake again to the same plight: What is it all for? Is anyone listening? What does my life mean?
The doorway is open if we let ourselves seek it. Jesus said, “Seek and ye shall find. Knock and the door will be opened to you.” (Mathew 7:7-8). We must enter. It is not an easy path, it is through “the narrow gate” (Mathew 7:13): to close the door to one world and open the door to another. But it must happen.
Like sleep at night, we must engage in the practice of putting to rest all other things. We must fold down the sheets and lay our heads down. We must turn out the light, so the true light of our own inner being is illuminated. As our busy mind rests, our spirit is able to connect to God, to reunite with its Creator.
We can not expect this to happen instantly. It is a process of repetition, like the moon’s ascent each night. It does not decide when or what it will be; it simply returns, gloriously. And like the symbol of the moon, it can be a very emotional process. That time of rest is also sorting of many things we have carried during our days, weeks, months, years, or even lifetimes.
But once in a blue moon, if we persist, if we continually let go and return with open hearts and minds, we are able to dream beautiful dreams, to rise past fitful sleep, to that other place we call freedom or heaven on earth. To connect with our true selves and Spirit in new and beautiful ways, with the sun shining on our face.
Daily Miracle Prayer
Dear God, help me to open my heart and mind to You. Help me to hear Your Voice, and ascend to where you always abide. Let me move past all the cares and worries of this world. Let me rest my head and return to You so that I can know heaven on earth. Amen.
Daily Miracle Blessing
Rise up, daughter! Rise up, son! Turn your face to me and feel my eternal Light. Take your place among the stars at night and see the Light of who you are. Return to me and bask in my golden glow, forever held and free.
Have No Fear
“Have no fear of them, for nothing is covered that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known. What I tell you in the dark, say in the light, and what you hear whispered, proclaim from the housetops” (Mathew 10:28-29)
My random opening of the ESV Bible today, a new spiritual practice, revealed knowledge and wisdom that encouraged and uplifted me in my new quest not to hide the truth, but to proclaim it from the rooftops. In a secular world, especially in an especially “progressive” Canada, that is no easy feat.
I am reminded not to fear or worry what others think as I proclaim the Gospel in 21st Century North America and beyond. I figure I am not alone, though it sure feels that way sometimes.
Spreading light is easy if it’s the usual “self-help” or “new age” variety. But as soon as you use the word, “Jesus”, “Christ” or “Bible” you are in for advanced cynicism, curiosity or criticism.
I’m alright. Based on today’s passage, I’m in good company.
